Valencia are placed 17th on the league standings - level on points with 18th-placed Getafe CF and they cannot afford to lose to Atletico.

The Madrid giants have no suspension worries and Reinildo Mandava is the only player on Atletico's injury-list as he nurses a long-term injury.
 
While Valencia will be without Edinson Cavani who is currently injured and Jaume Doménech who is suspended.
