Matchday 26

Juventus FC v UC Sampdoria

Allianz Stadium
Turin, Italy
Sunday, 12 March 2023
Kick-off is at 19h45
Juventus FC will go head to head with UC Sampdoria in an Italian Serie A match at the Allianz Stadium on March 12.
Current Form
The Old Lady suffered a 1-0 defeat to AS Roma away on March 5 as their four-match unbeaten run in the league came to an end.
Juventus are undefeated in their last two matches at home having recorded two consecutive wins at the Allianz Stadium.
While Sampdoria were held to a 0-0 draw by US Salernitana at home on March 5 as they extended their winless run to nine matches in Serie A.
The Blue Circled are also winless in their last four matches on the road having recorded one draw and three defeats as the away side.
What Is At Stake
Juventus are top six contenders at the moment and they are currently placed eighth on the league standings - seven points behind sixth-placed Atalanta BC.
The former Italian champions will be determined to reduce the gap between them by defeating Sampdoria who are keen to avoid relegation.
Sampdoria are placed 20th on the league standings and they will be desperate for a win in order to ease their relegation fears.
Team News
Juventus trio of Mattia De Sciglio, Kaio Jorge and Arkadiusz Milik are all injured and the club has no suspension concerns.
On the other hand, Sampdoria also don't have suspension concerns, but Ignacio Pussetto, Andrea Conti, Jeison Murillo, Filip Djuricic, Emirhan Ilkhan and Sam Lammers are currently injured.
Key Players
Dusan Vlahovic, who is Juventus' top scorer with eight goals in the Serie A this season, could be the man to propel the Old Lady to a victory against Sampdoria.
Juventus manager Massimiliano Allegri will have to come up with a plan to neutralise Manolo Gabbiadini who is Sampdoria's top scorer with four goals and dangerman.

"We knew we would face difficulties, Roma are a tough team, they don't give up. In the first half we could have done more," Allegri said after their clash with Roma.
"But they ran a lot, as was shown by the cramps many of their players had. By the end of the first half, they were already dropping back, with their midfielders, but unfortunately, we conceded a goal, in a situation where we could have defended better.
"Kean Moise? He made a mistake, he apologised, but he made a mistake because he put the team in difficulty. It's a lesson to be learned."
The two teams played to a 0-0 draw in their last meeting in the league which was on 22 August 2022 at the Stadio Comunale Luigi Ferraris.
The draw extended the Old Lady's unbeaten run against the Blue-Circled to seven matches in the Serie A having recorded six wins and one draw.
