Red Bull KTM Factory Racing's Brad Binder will be hoping to mount a sustained challenge to Ducati Lenovo Team's Francesco Bagnaia in 2024, with the
Portugal Grand Prix next up on Sunday, March 24.
The South Africa claimed the 11th podium of his MotoGP career following a fine performance in the season-opening Qatar Grand Prix on March 10 as he finished 1.329 seconds behind Bagnaia in P2.

Binder also took P2 in the sprint, but revealed his RC16 was on another level the next day after he finished 0.604 seconds ahead of Prima Pramac Racing's Jorge Martin, having been locked in a fierce battle with the Spaniard for much of the 21-lap race.
The 28-year-old only has two wins to his name in the premier class and is looking to pose a greater threat to Bagnaia's aspirations of a third straight title this year following two seasons without a victory.

Binder praised his team for getting him on the podium in Lusail after admitting he struggled with wear on the front tyre during the Qatar Grand Prix in the final round of last season.
"I'm super stoked with the result today," he said. "Today, we knew going in it was going to be tough to make the tyres go to the end. I'm surprised we managed it so well, to be honest.
"I tried to get so close to Pecco [Bagnaia] but he did an unreal job, didn't make one mistake the entire race and hats off to him.
"Thank you to my team; they did an amazing job, my bike was next level today compared to yesterday again."
