The Blues are flying high on the back of a 2-1 win at league leaders Manchester City which boosted their hopes of a top four finish.

With the FA Cup and Uefa Champions League final to look forward to this month, it is a good time to be a Chelsea player.

"It's best to have consecutive good performances that lead to results," said Blues boss Thomas Tuchel. "The group and the players do everything to force luck on our side, and we caught the momentum to have another big win.

"It increases our self-confidence in a natural and healthy way because everybody knows we have to restart on Wednesday (against Arsenal in the league)."

Arsenal put their Europa League disappointment behind them with a 3-1 win over West Bromwich Albion last time out. It has been an underwhelming campaign by the north London club and Gunners boss Mikel Arteta has emphasised the importance of his team finishing the season on a high note.

"After not going through to the final [of the Europa League], it's always very important to win the game," said Arteta.

"We have a huge responsibility to win every game we play when we represent this football club. If anybody can question anything, our level, our ability, whatever it is, they can.

"But our attitude, that's a non-negotiable one and right up to the end, we have to try to win our matches and see what happens," he added.

Goals from Alexandre Lacazette, Granit Xhaka and Bukayo Saka led Arsenal to a 3-1 win over Chelsea in the reverse fixture at Emirates Stadium earlier this season.
