Xander Schauffele will be looking to continue his good form by clinching the
2022 Wells Fargo Championship this weekend.
The American star won the recent Zurich Classic of New Orleans with Patrick Cantlay ahead of their compatriots Sam Burns and Billy Horschel on April 24.
Schauffele, who won the Olympic gold medal at the men's individual golf event of the 2020 Summer Olympics, is now ranked 12th in the Official World Golf Rankings.

The 28-year-old has won five times on the PGA Tour since turning professional in 2015 with the 2017 Greenbrier Classic and 2017 Tour Championship being his first two triumphs.
Schauffele, who was born in San Diego, then clinched the 2018 WGC-HSBC Champions event as he won on the first playoff hole (number 18), defeating Tony Finau.
The 2017 PGA Tour Rookie of the Year went on to lift the 2019 Sentry Tournament of Champions trophy after he shot 11-under-par 62 in the final round to pass Gary Woodland.
Schauffele, whose best major finish is T2 at both the 2018 Open Championship and the 2019 Masters, will be looking to clinch his sixth win on the PGA Tour on Sunday.

“(Cantlay) hit an unbelievable shot into seven,” Schauffele said after he won the 2022 Zurich Classic of New Orleans with Cantlay.
“It was a pretty thing to see from my angle in the fairway. It jump-started the round. I feel like those bogeys were pretty much my fault, put (Cantlay) in bad spots with an 8-iron and wedge in hand.
“We weren’t really too worried about where everyone else was at, just trying to focus on what we do best.”
Rory McIlroy is the most decorated golfer in the history of the Wells Fargo Championship having won the tournament a record three times.
