Aston Martin's Fernando Alonso is remaining upbeat as he heads into the Miami Grand Prix on Sunday, May 7 looking to challenge the Ferrari and Mercedes drivers for another podium.
The Spaniard has made an impressive start to life with his new team, securing three successive P3 finishes for the first time since the 2013 season before that sequence was broken at the Azerbaijan Grand Prix.

Alonso still managed a respectable P4 as he came in less than a second behind Ferrari's Charles Leclerc, who started the race in pole position and held the lead until lap 4.
The 41-year-old still occupies third position in the drivers' standings and trails Red Bull Racing's Sergio Perez by 27 points, while he is 12 ahead of Mercedes' Lewis Hamilton.

Alonso declared himself happy with his performance in Baku after Aston Martin's issues with DRS and believes their battle with Ferrari and Mercedes will continue in Florida.
"I'm quite happy. We had pace in [Saturday's] sprint, and showed we were even stronger today. It was a tricky weekend for Aston," he said. "We were not that fast, and still only one second away from the podium.
"Ferrari had a perfect weekend: two pole positions, super fast car. They were just one second from the Astons. We have to be happy overall.
"Ferrari, Mercedes and Aston are so close together so every weekend will be a little bit different, with always one of us a little bit ahead."
