Kyle Walker is looking to add another feather to his cap by captaining Manchester City to FA Cup glory against Manchester United at Wembley on Saturday, May 25.

The 33-year-old defender was handed the armband ahead of the 2023-24 campaign following the departure of former skipper Ilkay Gundogan to Barcelona in the off-season.

Walker played an instrumental role for Pep Guardiola's side as they became the first club to win four consecutive Premier League titles after finishing two points clear of Arsenal on the final day of the season.

The England international missed four league games through injury and was rested on another two occasions, while he featured in their previous four cup-ties after sitting out the third-round clash with Huddersfield.

Walker admitted that making history with City represented the most significant moment in his illustrious career and he's turning his attention to achieving another milestone against the Red Devils.

"The last few years have been very special for everyone at Manchester City but to have captained this Club to a fourth straight Premier League title is something I will cherish forever," he said.

"The Premier League is the benchmark by which everyone is measured. It's rightly renowned as the hardest and most competitive league in the world so to win four in a row illustrates what we have collectively managed to achieve.

"And for me personally to have been captain this season of such a special, talented squad of players has been both an enormous honour and privilege.

"As a football club we strive to be the very best we can be - and to become the first team in history to win four consecutive Premier League titles makes all that hard work and sacrifice worthwhile.

"It has been a season I will never forget. Now we want to celebrate - and then refocus for the FA Cup final against Manchester United."
