Erik van Rooyen will be keen to record his third victory in the
PGA Tour when he takes part in the Myrtle Beach Classic.
What to know about Van Rooyen
The South African currently competes on the European Tour and the PGA Tour. He has won twice on the PGA Tour, as well as once on the European Tour.
Van Rooyen's best performance in a golf major tournament came in the 2019 PGA Championship when he finished eighth.

Currently placed 66th on the Official World Golf Rankings (OWGR), Van Rooyen was in action at the 2024 RBC Heritage.
The 2018 European Tour Graduate of the Year finished 33rd in the PGA Tour event and he took a short break from professional golf following the tournament
Why Van Rooyen is among the favourites
Van Rooyen, who won the 2023 World Wide Technology Championship, boasts of two top-10 finishes in the 2024 PGA Tour season having finished eighth at the Mexico Open.
The 34-year-old then finished second at the Cognizant Classic behind winner Austin Eckroat and he will be looking to go one step further, and clinch the Myrtle Beach Classic.

"Making a 6 on one left a sour taste in my mouth. Then you drain a 35-, 40-footer on two and it's like, `OK, it's all right. This is a silly game, so just keep playing," Van Rooyen said after winning the 2023 World Wide Technology Championship.
"Things just turned on the back nine. Great birdie on 10, almost holed it on 11, beautiful 13-, 14-footer on 12, left-right breaker in the heart and you're off and running. Just hung in there and made some awesome putts on 16, 17 and 18."
