On the back of a promising 2025 so far, three-time PGA tour winner Shane Lowry will hope to impress at the upcoming
Truist Championship against formidable competition such as Rory Mcllroy and Justin Thomas.
What to know about Shane Lowry
The Irishman completed three top 10 finishes this year, while he hopes to put the disappointment of the Zurich Classic open behind him.
Alongside teammate Rory Mcllroy, the duo were unable to defend their 2024 Zurich Classic crown and finished in 12
th position at the tournament last month.
Lowry will also hope to better than the T42 placing he completed at the Masters recently, as he watched his partner go all the way in the competition.
What did he say
“I was out of [the tournament] for a long time and I was watching the leaderboard going around, then come in, and I have to deal with my own disappointments first,” Lowry said of his performance at the Masters.
“I actually went to the locker room for like 15 minutes just to gather my own thoughts, watched a bit of the golf, watched what he was doing out there.”
