2024-25 Italian Serie A
Matchday 37
Juventus v Udinese
Allianz Stadium
Turin, Italy
Sunday, 18 May 2025
Kick-off is at 13h00
Juventus will be targeting their first win in three
Serie A games when Udinese visit the Allianz Stadium in the penultimate round of the season on Sunday, May 18.
The Old Lady are in danger of failing to secure UEFA Champions League football for the second time in three years after winning just two of their last five matches.
Back-to-back 1-1 draws with Bologna and Lazio has left Igor Tudor's side hanging onto to fourth place, with Lazio (5th), Roma (6th) and Bologna (7th) breathing down their necks.
The Giallorossi could push Juve out of the top four if they manage to beat Atalanta on May 12 in the final fixture of matchday 36.
The Little Zebras have seen their chances of a top-10 finish slowly slip away after claiming just one win from their last five outings, picking up just four points in the process.
A 1-2 defeat to already-relegated Monza on May 11 saw Kosta Runjaic's side fall four points behind Como (10th) in 12th position and they are behind Torino (11th) on goal difference.
Udinese have only kept two clean sheets since the start of March, shipping 14 goals in their other eight games during that period.
Tudor acknowledges that injuries have hampered the Bianconeri's campaign and he believes they will be in a stronger position next term with acouple of summer reinforcements.
"What would Juve be like with all our players available? It's a good question. These are moments of the season that change so much," the Croatian said.
"I can't comment on what could happen if we had done the preparation in a certain way or if we had arrived at the run-in of the season without these problems.
"The squad is strong, it has good values: with two or three additions, next year it can become top level. It already has quality."
Runjaic admits Udinese were made to pay for a poor performance in their own backyard against Monza, who recorded only their third win of the campaign.
"First of all, there are some happy people today and they are the Monza team, so congratulations to them," the German said.
"We played badly and the result is the consequence, the result is strange but football is like that. We played badly and made mistakes, it is not a question of details. At least we should not have lost at home."
