World no. 16 Justin Thomas will be hoping his new putter will aid him in his quest to win the PGA Championship for the third time.
The American is one of 13 players to have won the major twice, with his maiden success coming in 2017 before he conquered the field again in 2023.
Thomas' last victory on the PGA Tour was the 2025 RBC Heritage - the 16th of his career - and he's only competed in seven events this season.
The 33-year-old's best showing came at the Players Championship (T8) and he finished 13th at the Truist Championship most recently.
Thomas started with rounds of 67 and 68 at Quail Hollow, which was his lowest 36-hole score of 2026, and he revealed there was a new putter in his bag - the same one used by Cameron Young.
"Using a totally new putter this week," he said. "I literally texted Cameron's guys and said, 'Just give me Cam's putter.'
"I've been watching him make putts for a pretty good amount of time now, and I've always thought it looks really good, so I was like, 'I want Cam Young's putter.'
"Coincidentally, I get paired with him this week, and we had the exact same shoes on yesterday, and it's like, 'I promise I'm not trying to copy everything you do. But I'm maybe trying to copy everything you do, I don't know.'"
