With Juventus making positive ground on the Serie A table heading into the penultimate matches of the season, the Old Lady will now shift their attention to Fiorentina at home on Sunday.
While AC Milan dropped points in a 3-2 loss against Atalanta last time out, Juventus pounced on their error by slotting into third position following a narrow 1-0 win against Lecce during Matchday 36.
Juve now hold a one-point advantage over Milan in third, after accumulating 68 points for the campaign. Regarding their recent form, Juventus recorded three wins and two draws in their previous five Serie A matches.
Fiorentina will go into their next league assignment following a 0-0 draw with Genoa, taking their tally to 38 points from 36 matches.
After lingering in the bottom half of the table for much of the season, Fiorentina managed to avoid the relegation zone as a silver lining; they sit seven points adrift of the bottom three with two games left.
As for their overall form, Fiorentina recorded one win, three draws and one loss in their last five ties.

Speaking after Juve’s win over Lecce, Luciano Spalletti lamented his side’s inability to finish games, which he described as a recurring problem for his side this season.
“We cannot seem to maintain that concentration, determination and grit for the whole game. Once we make those mistakes, the tension and fear sets in, the match goes back into the balance,” Spalletti said.
“Then we get annoyed with ourselves, go and grab the game by the scruff of the neck and put it back on track. A game like this one cannot end 1-0, we barely allowed them to get into our half, there were so many situations where we had two attacking options and always went for the third worst one. That’s just what we are like.”
