The Blazers have had mixed results since the start of the season, though an impressive 111-92 win over the Los Angeles Clippers this past weekend underlined the potency of Portland’s team. This included 25 points for Damian Lillard, who believes he is shrugging off some inconsistent form and will announce himself in a big way.

"I shot the ball well tonight. I had a stretch in the third quarter of the last game. I've just got to keep going in that direction," Lillard said about his progress. "To me, I think when I come out of it, I feel like it's going to be loud. Usually when I shoot the ball poorly over a stretch, it's loud when I come out of it."
The Pacers have also been up and down in the campaign thus far, with coach Rick Carlisle frustrated that his team has often found themselves in positions to win, only to take their foot off the throat of their opponents, as was the case in defeats to the Toronto Raptors and Brooklyn Nets within the last week.

“We've just got to stay in the fight," Pacers coach Rick Carlisle said. “We have plenty to win games right now. We're just going to have to be very much on point. The margins are very slim and we're (going) to have to stick together and play together."
In head-to-head stats, the Trail Blazers and the Pacers have met in 94 Regular Season games since 1976-77, with Portland claiming 58 wins compared to 36 for Indiana. The teams’ last Regular Season meeting was in April 2021, with the Trail Blazers winning 133-112 away from home thanks to 23 points from Damian Lillard.
