After slipping up in their last couple of Serie A matches, Juventus are preparing to get back on track when they take on Cagliari in Turin on Saturday evening.
Sitting in sixth position on the log on 20 points, Juventus will head into their next match following back-to-back draws against Torino and Fiorentina respectively.
Juventus made their way to the Artemio Franchi Stadium last Saturday, where goals in either half by Rolando Mandragora and Filip Kostic saw the game end in a frustrating 1-1 draw. Cagliari likewise drew each of their last two Serie A encounters, with the latest being a 3-3 stalemate with Genoa on Saturday.
Cagliari have now drawn three and lost two in their last five league ties and will go into their next assignment sitting in 14th place with 11 points to their name.
Speaking after his side’s 1-1 draw with Fiorentina, Juve mentor Luciano Spalletti urged his side to play better football if they are to climb up the rankings.
"We were too academic in the first half, making mistakes we shouldn't have made. Our level must be higher than what we showed,” the Juventus boss expressed.
We faced a team that was eager to react; it was a difficult match, but we were chosen to do something more. We need to play a different kind of football on the pitch."
