Barcelona will target a return to winning ways in
La Liga when they host Getafe at the Estadi Olimpic Lluis Companys on Saturday, October 18.
The Blaugrana have had some time to reflect on their first defeat of the season after being hammered 4-1 by Sevilla prior to the international break.
It was the first time that Hansi Flick's side had conceded more than two goals in a league match this term and it has done some damage to their goal difference.
Arch-rivals Real Madrid, who had seen their perfect record come to an end with a crushing 5-2 loss at the hands of neighbours Atletico Madrid on matchday 7, reclaimed top spot from Barca courtesy of a 3-1 win over Villarreal on October 4.
The Azulones finally got their campaign up and running as they arrested their winless start with a 2-1 victory against Valencia on October 4.
Jose Bordalas' side only managed to pick up three points from their opening eight games which left them rock-bottom in the standings with the worst defensive record.
However, their maiden success over Los Ches has lifted the Madrid outfit off the foot of the table up to 18th place, level with Real Oviedo (17th) and Celta Vigo (16th) on six points.
Flick has stressed the importance of staying united after their setback against the Palanganas and was at least pleased to see his players respond in the second half after committing too many errors in the opening 45 minutes.
"We have to accept this defeat and look at the positive side," the German said. "In the first half we made a lot of mistakes, but in the second half we were able to react.
"After this defeat it's important that we stick together. We are a good team, and when we return from the international break, we'll fight for every title."
