As an injured Marco Bezzecchi showed heart and determination during the Japan MotoGP, the Italian Rider is hoping to be fit for the upcoming
Indonesia MotoGP this weekend.
Bezzecchi was taken out by teammate Jorge Martin on the opening lap of the Japanese MotoGP sprint race and broke his collarbone in the process. After finding a gap on the inside lane during lap one, Martin launched into the corner and crashed into Bezzecchi, who was initially ruled out for the race completely.
However, after being cleared to race the next day, Bezzecchi finished in an impressive fourth place with a time of +10.128s.
Bezzechi, who has six podiums and one victory to his name in the 2025 calendar, expressed that he is still feeling the effects of the crash and hopes to be ready for the Indonesia MotoGP.
“Well, I feel pretty bad,” Bezzechi said.
“After Saturday, I hurt myself on the right leg, especially the knee [where] I already had suffered an injury. But also the hand, my back, my neck, everything, because of the crash.
“The worst part was the leg - the muscle on the thigh. This is completely full of blood, and also the knee. Bending the leg was very difficult.
“So, not in the best shape at the moment, but I will try my best to arrive in Mandalika fully fit.”
