Boasting back-to-back wins in
Serie A, Torino are targeting more moves up the log as they prepare to face Bologna in matchday nine on Wednesday night.
Torino were boosted by a last-gasp 2-1 win against Genoa in their most recent Serie A test, in a game that kicked-off at Olimpico di Torino this past Sunday.
Their victory marked two wins on the spin, following their spirited 1-0 victory against Napoli during matchday seven.
As it stands, Torino occupy 12
th on the standings, while Bologna are fifth after their 2-2 stalemate with Fiorentina on Sunday.
Bologna are currently unbeaten in their last five Serie A matches, while they also collected maximum points against Genoa, Pisa and Cagliari respectively.
Guillermo Maripan, who was named as the Man of the Match during his side’s win over Genoa, scored a 90
th minute winner that sent his side into overdrive on home soil. Speaking after the match, Maripan expressed that Torino are a humble team who share the same values as him.
"We played a bit slowly in the first half, but then we picked up the pace and that's how we can take the three points,” Maripan said, as he collected his award.
"It's a great honor. It's a team with the same determination as me. We're a humble team, and we have to keep it that way."
