Meanwhile, Brighton secured a 3-1 win over Newcastle United at home on 2 September and it was their second win in their last three league matches.

Team News
United players Sofyan Amrabat, Tom Heaton, Tyrell Malacia, Amadou Diallo, Raphael Varane, Mason Mount, Luke Shaw and Kobbie Mainoo are currently injured, but the club has no suspension issues.
Brighton, on the other hand, also do not have suspension concerns, but Evan Ferguson, Jakub Moder, Danny Welbeck and Juilo Enciso are all out injured.
“Obviously they have lots of quality to create chances, but we played to our strengths," Brighton defender Joel Veltman said after their win over Newcastle.

"We had 1 vs 1s with our strikers Joao [Pedro] and Evan opening up the game, creating spaces behind their defenders. We showed a great fighting spirit as well against such a strong, physical team like Newcastle.
"They’re an amazing side, but we didn’t give up. We won our 50-50 duels and from then on we could play our game.”
Brighton secured a 1-0 win over United in their last meeting in the league which was on 4 May 2023 at the AMEX Stadium.
As a result, the Seagulls are unbeaten in their last three Premier League matches against the Red Devils, having registered three successive wins.
