Francesco Bagnaia will be hoping to make it two wins in a row in the current campaign by clinching the Catalan MotoGP.

The Ducati Ducati Lenovo Team rider was in top form at the recent 2023 Austrian MotoGP which took place on August 20 and he won the race.
 
Bagnaia started on the first grid and managed to maintain lead throughout the race and he deservedly emerged victorious.
 
2022 Catalan MotoGP
 
The Italian Grand Prix motorcycle racer endured a disappointing at the 2022 Catalan MotoGP as he was forced to retire due to an accident damage.
 
The reigning MotoGP world champion's best performance in this event came in 2020 as he finished sixth.
 
Why Bagnaia could win the 2023 Catalan MotoGP
 
The Turin-born star has been the most consistent rider in the current campaign which sees him placed at the top of the riders' standings.
 
Having won this season's Portuguese MotoGP, Spanish MotoGP, Italian MotoGP, Dutch MotoGP and Austrian MotoGP, Bagnaia is a clear favourite to win this weekend's race.
 
What did he say?
 
"We did such an incredible job. We improved a lot from Friday where I had a good feeling but was missing something," Bagnaia said after winning the 2023 Austrian MotoGP.
 
"Yesterday we improved and today in the race it was really hot and I already knew that the rear tyre could be a mess. The front tyre was at the start but right now we are understanding how to improve that a bit more.
 
"It is one of the best wins this season in terms of speed and consistency."
