2023 Fortinet Championship is scheduled to take place at the Silverado Country Club in Napa, California, USA between 14 and 17 September.
What to know about the tournament
Originally sponsored by Fry's Electronics, it was first staged in 2007 as the Fry's Electronics Open at Grayhawk Golf Club's Raptor Course in Scottsdale, Arizona.
In 2021, Fortinet became the title sponsor of the PGA event on a six-year deal hence the name, Fortinet Championship.
In October 2014, part of the PGA Tour's 2015 season, it moved north to Napa and the Silverado Country Club (North course) and it remains the home of the tournament.
Favourites
Headlining the star-studded field is defending champion Max Homa, who has won the last two Fortinet Championship trophies.
The likes of Justin Thomas, Sahith Theegala and Cam Davis will be part of the 156-player field and it will be played out over four days.
Former Fortinet Championship winners Stewart Cink and Cameron Champ will also be tee off at the Silverado Country Club.
What Is At Stake
The Fortinet Championship features an $8.4 million purse, with $1.512 million to the winner. The champion will also receive 500 FedExCup points.
This is the first event in the inaugural FedExCup Fall schedule which will run through The RSM Classic.
