Amid an inconsistent start to the 2025/26 campaign, Verona will face one of their toughest tests in
Serie A when they take on Juventus at home this coming weekend.
Verona are yet to taste victory in their opening two matches in Serie A and currently occupy 17
th position on the table.
After their 1-1 draw with Udinese during matchday one, Verona will now head into their next league obligation on the back of a 4-0 loss to Lazio at Stadio Olimpico on 31 August.
While Verona will face Cremonese in matchday three on Monday evening, Juventus will hope to maintain their 100% win record in Serie A on Saturday.
Juve’s positive run include wins against Parma and Genoa, while they most recently bagged a dramatic 4-3 victory against Inter Milan last time out. The popular Italian side are now second on the table on nine points alongside leaders Napoli.
Speaking after Juventus’ victory against Inter, Old Lady coach Igor Tudor believed that hunger ultimately earned them maximum points on the day.
“We won today, even if it was not a great performance,” Tudor said.
“In a match like this, there are no favourites and previous form is wiped out. Inter have enormous quality, they are world class.
“Our performance was not what we could’ve done, especially in terms of pressing, but the hunger of those who came on helped us earn this victory. I don’t know if it was deserved, or if a draw was fair, but this is football.”
