Top four race hots up in Serie A

Atalanta will be hoping to cement their spot in the Serie A top four when they face Cagliari at the Sardegna Arena on July 05.
 
The Goddess are undefeated in their last five away matches in the league having recorded four successive wins and one draw.
 
Atalanta, who are placed fourth on the league standings, edged out a stubborn Udinese side 3-2 in their last home match which was played on June 28.
 
Their top four rivals, AS Roma, who are placed fifth on the league standings, will be away to Napoli at the Stadio San Paolo on July 05.
 
Paulo Fonseca, the AS Roma manager, remains hopeful of catching Atalanta, who are nine points above them on the table.

“No, we will keep working hard with the aim of winning every game, starting from the next one," Fonseca said.
"Above all the fitness levels - there is not a lot of time to recover, we have to play on two days' rest.

"Keeping consistency is not easy when you need to change players so much. It won't be easy but we are ready to keep on fighting until the end."
 
The Yellow and Reds have been struggling on the road having recorded three defeats in their last four away games, while the other game ended in a win.
 
Roma succumbed to a disappointing 2-0 defeat to AC Milan in their last away match which played June 28.
 
Napoli are also in the race for the top four places as they are placed sixth on the league standings ahead of their clash with Roma.
 
The Little Donkeys are undefeated in their last two home matches in the league having registered two consecutive wins.
 
They recorded a comprehensive 3-1 win over SPAL in their last home game which was played on June 28.
