Ferrari driver Sebastian Vettel will be eager to secure a victory at the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix where he has good memories.

The German star is one of the most decorated drivers in the history of this race having clinched three titles in the Asian country.

Vettel won the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix in 2009, 2010 and 2013 and only Mercedes driver Lewis Hamilton has more with five titles.

The four-time Formula One champion, who has endured a poor 2020 season, finished 12th in the most recent race in the 2020 season which is the Sakhir Grand Prix.

The Sakhir Grand Prix was won by Sergio Perez of Racing Point and Renault driver Esteban Ocon finished second.

Perez's teammate Lance Stroll finished third as Racing Point dominated the race in Sakhir, Bahrain.

Hamilton, who has been crowned 2020 Formula One world champion, is sitting at the top of this year's Drivers’ Championship standings.

His teammate Valtteri Bottas is placed second on the Drivers' Championship standings, while Red Bull's Max Verstappen is sitting on the third spot.

Vettel, who remains 13th on the Drivers' Championship standings, was pleased to see his future team, Racing Point perform well at the Sakhir Grand Prix.

“For sure [Racing Point are] strong, and I’m looking forward to it,” Vettel said as looks to end his five-year spell with Ferrari.

“But for now, I’m willing to finish this chapter, even if it seems quite painful. But I tried what I could today and it was really difficult.”

Mercedes, who have been crowned 2020 Formula One world constructors champions, are placed at the top of the standings with an unassailable lead of 540 points.

They are followed by second-placed Red Bull and third-placed Racing Point, who have accumulated 282 points and 194 points heading into the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.
