Vettel targets maiden Styrian GP title

Ferrari driver Sebastian Vettel will be targeting nothing but a victory at the Styria Grand Prix on July 12.

The accomplished German driver finished 10th in the first race of the season which was the Austrian Grand Prix on July 05.
 
Mercedes driver Valtteri Bottas won the Austrian Grand Prix and this was his first victory in Spielberg.
 
Vettel's teammate Charles Leclerc finished second, while McLaren driver Lando Norris secured a third spot finish.
 
Vettel, who has won four Formula One world titles, is in his final season with Ferrari and he will be hoping to end his stay at the Italian auto manufacturers with a championship win.

The 33-year-old reflected on his performance at the Austrian Grand Prix and he said he was “happy” to only find himself facing the wrong direction once on his way to a lowly 10th place finish.
 
“Well, to be honest, I’m happy that I spun only once. It was very difficult," Vettel told the official Formula One website.

"It got very tight and I think Carlos, I think it was Carlos – I don’t know, one of the McLarens – turned in and I was just on the edge because I wanted to be as close as possible and lost the rear.
 
“To be honest I lost the rear a couple of times today, so yeah, as I said, I’m happy that it happened only once.”
 
Leclerc and Norris are placed second, and third respectively on the drivers' standings which are led by Bottas.
 
Mercedes are sitting at the top of Constructors' standings and they are looking to secure the Constructors' championship for the seventh consecutive year.
 
Norris' McLaren are placed second on the standings, while Ferrari are sitting on the third spot.
