Matchday 31
Sevilla v Atletico Madrid

Seville, Spain
Saturday, 11 April 2026
Kick-off is at 19h00
Atletico Madrid will be targeting their first win in thee La Liga games when they head to southern Spain for a clash with Sevilla at the Ramon Sanchez-Pizjuan on Saturday, April 11 in the late kick-off.
Los Colchoneros had an outside chance of pipping Real Madrid to second place after gaining some ground on their neighbours in the table during February and March.
But a 3-2 defeat at the hands of Los Blancos on March 22 effectively ended their top-two challenge and they are now facing a fight to finish third.
Diego Simeone's side were beaten 2-1 by Barcelona on April 4 to leave them a point behind third-placed Villarreal, who failed to capitalise after suffering a surprise 1-0 defeat against Girona on April 6.

The Palanganas are in danger of being dragged into a relegation scrap after picking up just two points from their last five matches.
Matias Almeyda was relieved of his duties on March 23, having won just eight of his opening 29 matches and Luis Garcia Plaza began his tenure with a 1-0 reverse to rock-bottom Real Oviedo on April 5.
The Andalusian outfit have now failed to win their last five outings and sit just two points clear of the drop zone in 17th position.

Simeone handed debuts to Javi Morcillo and Taufik Seidu in the second half against the Blaugrana and felt the duo performed admirably in trying circumstances.
"Losing isn't positive. The lads' work was very good," he said after seeing his players make life difficult for Barca in the second half despite the dismissal of Nico Gonzalez on the stroke of half-time.
"In the second half, with that huge second effort from the youngsters who were able to make their debuts, they did very well given the stage of the match, and hopefully it will serve them well because losing is never good."
