Sunderland, however, are winless in their last three Premier League matches at the Stadium of Light, having registered three successive defeats at the iconic Stadium.
Meanwhile, Tottenham were thrashed 3-0 by Nottingham Forest at home on 22 March and are winless in 13 Premier League games, having recorded eight defeats, and five draws.
The Spurs have also struggled on the road, remaining winless in their last six away Premier League games, recording three defeats and three draws.
Team News
Sunderland will be without Bertrand Traoré, Romaine Mundle, Robin Roefs, Nilson Angulo, Daniel Ballard and Jocelin Ta Bi, but there are no suspension concerns for the home side.
Tottenham Hotspur, on the other hand, also don't have any suspension worries, but they will be without James Maddison, Dejan Kulusevski, Wilson Odobert, Mohammed Kudus, Rodrigo Bentancur, Ben Davies, Guglielmo Vicario, Yves Bissouma and Mathys Tel.
Quotes
“I am really proud of our players because they were calm and composed under pressure," Sunderland manager RĂ©gis Le Bris said after his side's win over Newcastle United.
“Our resilience is probably the most important word today – that is what kept us in the game. It is a massive achievement. We struggled and had a difficult period with three defeats in a row, but we have reacted well.
“If you stay connected with your teammates and trust the game model and the coaching staff, then you can go a long way.”
