Kick-off is at 16h00

Ghana will be away to South Africa in the 2022 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifier Group C match on March 25.

The Black Stars are hoping to return to winning ways having lost 1-0 to Sudan away in the last match which was played in November 2020.

The defeat in a Group C game saw Ghana's two-match unbeaten run come to an end having registered two consecutive victories.

The Black Stars remain at the top of the group standings - level on points with second-placed South Africa.

However, Ghana are on top on head-to-head record having defeated South Africa's Bafana Bafana in the last meeting between the two teams.

The West African giants secured a 2-0 victory over Bafana in a Group C match which was played in Cape Coast, Ghana in November 2019.

Ghana will now be keen to complete a double over fellow former African champions when the two teams clash at FNB Stadium.

Black Stars midfielder Mubarak Wakaso is optimistic about Ghana’s chances in the final Group C games against South Africa and Sao Tome.

“Everything is going on well, the guys are well prepared and ready to give out their best. Wakaso said.

“What I’m seeing here is massive, everybody is doing great. They were in camp before I came and I think what I saw was different. They were training hard and it motivated me as a professional player to play with the local players."

“They are playing in the Ghana Premier league and they are doing well in their teams that was why they were selected. They just need to be confident without any fear and from what I’ve seen, they are very confident and well-motivated."

The Black Stars are winless in their last two away matches having recorded two successive defeats against Mali and Sudan.

The last time Bafana hosted the Black Stars was on 11 November 2016.

The international friendly match ended in a 1-1 draw and it was played at the Moses Mabhida Stadium.
