The
2019 Internationaux de Strasbourg is set to be played at the Tennis Club de Strasbourg in France between 19-25 May.
This will be the 33rd edition of the tournament and part of the International-level tournament category of the 2019 WTA Tour.
The tournament was incepted in 1987 and serves as a warm-up event to the French Open which is played a week later.
Russian tennis star Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova is the defending champion having won last year's tournament.
World number one Naomi Osaka of Japan and American star Sloane Stephens are expected to participate in this year's competition.
Former world number Samantha Stosur, who has won the Internationaux de Strasbourg twice, will be hoping to clinch her third title this year.
In the women's doubles, Romanian duo Mihaela Buzărnescu and Raluca Olaru will be looking to defend their doubles title.
They will face stiff competition from Ukrainian player Nadiia Kichenok and her Australian team-mate Anastasia Rodionovalayer.
