Villa registered a first win in four matches with a 2-1 victory at Everton last time out. The result moved the Birmingham club up to 10th on the league standings and kept their quest of European football alive.

United can do very little to stop crosstown rivals Manchester City from clinching the Premier League title, but will be eager to extend their unbeaten run to 14 matches with victory at Villa Park.

“You know, we aren't looking back, we're looking forward and looking up to challenge Manchester City even more," said Red Devils manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer when quizzed about United's league ambitions for next season.

“Because I don't think we have challenged them enough this season so that's our aim - to go one step further and challenge a lot more than we have done this season.”

Goals from Anthony Martial and Bruno Fernandes either side of a Bertrand Traore strike led United to a 2-1 win over Villa in the reverse fixture at Old Trafford earlier this season.
