USA will be looking to win the Davis Cup trophy during a tournament which is set to take place between November 18 and 24.
The Americans are one of the tournament favourites once again, but the last time they clinched the title was in 2007.
They are still the most successful team in the history of the Davis Cup having won 32 titles.
USA are in Group F along with Canada and Italy, and they will be hoping to reach the knockout stages.
Mardy Fish, the USA captain, says his players are excited to play for the team in the new format.
"We are all very excited about the Davis Cup Finals here in the US; the players are all on board and ready to get going," Fish said on Tennis World.
"We are all very interested in how the new format will play out in Madrid and excited to play for the team."
Meanwhile, Australia are the second most decorated team in the history of the tournament with 28 trophies.
The Aussies are in Group D along with South American giants Colombia and Belgium.
The defending champions Croatia are in Group B along with Spain and Russia, and Group E consists of Kazakhstan, the Netherlands, and Great Britain.
While France have been drawn in Group A along with Japan and a strong Serbian team.
France's European rivals, Germany have been pitted against Southern American duo of Argentina and Chile in Group C.
The six group winners will progress to the quarter-finals and they will be joined by the two second-best runner-ups.
