After getting back to winning ways in the Premier League this past weekend, Liverpool will be in for yet another tough test when they take on Everton in the Merseyside Derby on Sunday.
In what has been a torrid season for Liverpool so far, the Reds currently sit in fifth position with 52 points from 32 games played.
The reigning Premier League champions ended their three-match winless streak this past weekend by claiming a 2-0 win against Fulham at Anfield on Saturday.
Overall, Liverpool recorded two wins, two defeats and one draw in their last five league outings.
Everton secured a 2-2 away draw with Brentford on Saturday, taking their tally to 47 points from 32 games in eighth position.
The Toffees have now recorded three wins, one draw and one defeat in their last five league fixtures, sitting just one point away from the UEFA Europa League spot following a decent showing during the second-half of the campaign.

In reaction to Liverpool’s win over Fulham, captain Virgil van Dijk has urged his teammates to push on in the hopes of finishing within a UEFA Champions League spot at the end of the campaign.
"Every game is massive and especially if you look at the opponents we've got," Van Dijk said.
"We all know how important Champions League football is for the club in general, financially as well.
"So, we want to finish the season in the highest possible way, with the best performances that we can bring on the pitch. But it's game by game and today was a good win."
