The Lakers have won 16 NBA championships and they are keen to clinch a record-equaling 17th title this season.

Vogel, the Lakers coach, says the team is inspired by the late Koby Bryant and he compared Anthony Davis’ game two winner (against the Nuggets) to one of Mamba’s buzzer-beaters.

"We want to embody what Kobe Bryant stood for and honor his memory," Vogel said.

"Obviously there are certain games where we're going to feel it more than others. When we have that uniform on, I think we feel it more than others.

"That's a shot Kobe Bryant would hit. To me, AD [Anthony Davies] coming off, just flying to the wing like that, catch-and-shoot with the game on the line in the biggest moment of our season - nothing but net, Mamba shot."

The Celtics are the most decorated team in the history of the NBA with 17 championships and they are eager to add their 18th title this season.

While the Nuggets have never won the NBA championship and they are hoping to surprise the world this season.
