Man United v Spurs Match Preview. Another Old Trafford Draw?

Manchester United host Tottenham Hotspur in the biggest clash of the Premier League weekend with both teams looking to make up ground in the battle for top 4 places.

Man United v Spurs betting odds suggest that United will win but the facts suggest it could be another draw at Old Trafford. Placed 5th and 6th on the log with six points between them, both clubs will be desperate for a win. The home side have been boosted by the return of Eric Bailly who played a full 90 minutes in their 2-0 Europa League victory over Zorya Luhansk. He is expected to start in the heart of defense alongside Phil Jones. Antonio Valencia, Michael Carrick and Anthony Martial should also return to the starting line-up while Mourinho will have a selection headache in midfield with Henrikh Mkhitaryan forcing Mourinho to play him with fine displays. His run of form has coincided with that of Zlatan Ibrahimovic who has scored seven goals in his last six games.

Spurs on the other hand are starting to click as a team. Having romped to a 5-0 thumping of Swansea before victory over CSKA, they are the in-form team between the two. Their recent results have come on the back of the return of Harry Kane who has scored 7 goals in his 9 appearances this season. Spurs have lost just once in the league and have the best defensive record which they will hope to improve with the return of Toby Alderweireld to the fold. Tottenham won just two matches during Alderweireld's 10-game absence and crashed out of the Champions League.

Manchester United v Tottenham stats suggest a draw is on the cards. Despite dominating possession, United have failed to win 5 of their last 6 Premier League games. Worst of all, they have only won twice at home all season and they line up against the leagues greediest defense this weekend. It’s unlikely that there will be many goals in this game.
