After a morale-boosting performance against Inter Milan last Sunday, AC Milan could make it three wins on the spin in Serie A when they face Lazio away this weekend.
Lazio currently sits in 10th place on the Serie A table after amassing 37 points from 28 games. Sitting in the middle of the log, Lazio has struggled to score goals this season with only 28 efforts to their name so far, while conceding the same amount.
Their most recent result was a tense 2-1 victory at home against Sassuolo on Monday night, ending a four-match winless streak in the process. Overall, Lazio have recorded one win, two defeats, and two draws in their last five league ties.
At the top end of the log, AC Milan holds second position with 60 points from 28 matches played. Milan are considered as serious contenders for the Scudetto and trail Inter by seven points ahead of the next game week.
The iconic Italian outfit boasts the best defensive record this season after conceding just 20 goals, while jotting down only two defeats so far.
Milan last saw out a 1-0 victory against Inter, a result that summed up a run that includes three wins, one draw, and one loss in their previous handful of league games.

Despite defeating their arch enemies, Milan coach Massimiliano Allegri believes Inter are favourites to secure the league title this season and that warding off their nearest competitors has been crucial to their plans.
"Inter have a seven-point lead. That's a big advantage, they are still the strongest team and the clear favourites," Allegri said.
"We could've done better and been sharper in the final third in a few situations.
"We can only be happy, because we have kept Juventus at -10 points, Como and Roma at -9, so it was important to get a result today."
