Stefanos Tsitsipas will be looking to retain his Nitto ATP Finals title when he competes at The O2 Arena.

The 22-year-old is the youngest player ranked in the top 10 by the ATP and has a career-high ranking of world number five in the world.

Tsitsipas, who is is currently ranked number six on the ATP Rankings, has won five ATP titles including two Open 13 Provence trophies in 2019 and 2020.

The Athens-born player has also lifted the 2019 Millenium Estoril Open and 2019 ATP Finals titles since he turned professional in 2013.

Tsitsipas, who has reached ten finals on the ATP Tour, stunned Dominic Thiem to win last year's ATP Finals.

The Monte Carlo-based player became the youngest winner of the year-end championship since Lleyton Hewitt in 2001.

Tsitsipas says so much has changed since he won the ATP Finals title as he looks to emulate Djovokic, who remains the last player to defend the title in 2015.

“I think I’ve grown up and faced pain on and off the court," Tsitsipas said on Tennis Head.

"So there were a lot of lessons to be taken and I had a lot of matches since that time but not as many as I hoped to have due to COVID-19.  Right now, I’m not thinking about the [upcoming] ATP Finals.

"I’m focusing [on] this week and then next week in Bercy. I feel like these are tournaments that I can do better [at] this year and have a better version of Stefanos on the court," he added.

"So I’m glad that I’m here. “I’m glad that we get to play these tournaments given the current state of the world.”
