Ferrari driver Charles Leclerc will be keen to defend his Italian Grand Prix title which he won for the first time last year.

Mercedes duo of Valtteri Bottas and Lewis Hamilton finished second, and third respectively.

Lewis is sitting at the top of this year's Drivers’ Championship standings having won races in Austria, Hungary, Britain, Spain and the most recent one in Belgium.

His teammate Bottas is placed third on the Drivers' Championship standings, while Red Bull driver Max Verstappen is sitting on the second spot.

Leclerc is placed fifth on the World Drivers' Championship standings having finished 14th at the recent Belgian Grand Prix.

The Monegasque driver says nothing but hard work will solve Ferrari's problems as they face missing out on a place in the top three of the World Constructors' Championship.

"It's extremely frustrating. It's been a very difficult weekend for us [in Spa, Belgium]. The race was not any easier," Leclerc said.

"We've had issues on the two pit stops I've made, which made me lose quite a lot of lap time and positions.

"Then I tried to catch back but it's very difficult for us to overtake, even with the DRS. We need to work and find something because this is very difficult."

Mercedes are placed at the top of Constructors' standings followed by second-placed Red Bull and third-placed McLaren-Renault.
